Meditating on God’s word

The last few weeks I have been laid pretty low, due to the flu, bronchitis and an injured rib due to strong coughing. Add to that being 33 weeks pregnant and my body is feeling it! 🙂 But, the Lord has really upheld us and we count each trial as from His gentle, pruning hand.

I am sure many of you already have lots of these kinds of resources, but I wanted to share one that has been particularly a blessing to me. Audio Bible Online This website allows you to choose your translation (We love KJV) and passage and reads the scriptures aloud. I have found it so helpful to be able to glean, even when I am not feeling the best. I have been in the book of James, and this wonderful section of the Lord’s word has so many golden, rich nuggets. It only takes a short time to listen to the entire book. And I have found benefit in going through the same passage for several days.

So busy mom, whether it is while you are making dinner in the kitchen, or nursing a baby…maybe this will be a useful tool for you. And may the Lord add His rich blessing as we feast on His word!

  1. Great way to memorize – I am working on colossians – listening to it over and over would help!
    Blessings!
